Shipping Policy
Effective Date: March 1, 2026
At Farmer Bob’s Tiny Raptors, we are committed to getting our products to you in the best possible condition. Please review our shipping procedures below.
1. Live Quail Shipping
-
Weather Awareness: To ensure the safety of our birds, we only ship live quail when temperatures are between 40°F and 85°F at both the origin (Monroe, GA) and the destination. We reserve the right to hold shipments until weather conditions are safe.
-
Carrier: We ship live birds via USPS Priority Mail Express, which is the industry standard for safe, fast animal transport.
-
Pickup Required: Most live bird shipments are sent "Hold for Pickup" at your local Post Office to minimize time spent on a delivery truck.
2. Hatching Eggs
-
Handling: Eggs are gathered daily and stored in a temperature-controlled environment until shipment.
-
Packaging: We use specialized foam or reinforced padding to prevent breakage.
-
Shipping Days: To avoid eggs sitting in a sorting facility over the weekend, we typically ship eggs on Mondays and Tuesdays.
3. Frozen & Dried Treats
-
Frozen Goods: Ground whole quail and frozen treats are shipped in insulated coolers with dry ice or gel packs. These are shipped via 1-2 day transit to ensure they arrive frozen or refrigerator-cold.
-
Dried Treats: Our dehydrated snacks ship via standard USPS or UPS ground.
4. Local Pickup
-
We offer free local pickup in Monroe, GA. If you select this option at checkout, we will contact you via email or text to schedule a convenient pickup time at our farm.
